In the course of several vacations to the Big Island, we A) got married, B) explored some of the umpteen distinct environments there, and C) house-sat for friends. That got us to D) browsing the housing market there, and one thing led to another.
We've ended up with a beautiful 2-acre rural property. It has all sorts of plantings and features — bananas, avocados, pineapples, strawberries, vegetable gardens, and a spectacular ocean view.
We plan to continue working as we put down new roots — Kate will work at Hospice of Kona, and Mark will continue his online and gallery artwork. It's a fertile environment where things grow fast. Aloha!
